ReplyDeleteHonestly ... these songs are terrible, and I was sincerely hoping "Worthless" was a mistake that would be quickly realized.
ReplyDeleteListening to your songs on this split doesn't give me any different a impression I had when I first heard "Worthless." The sound is just incredibly generic, there is nothing at all unique about the new sound you've adopted that interests me.
But it goes deeper than that. Any spirit this band had is gone. Reading lyrics post-Unforgivable, John just sounds like a fucking douchebag these days. Actually he gives off the idea of being no different from the character painted in a song like "Shot in the Head," or, "Transformed." Just some aging scumbag cashing in on "hardcore punk" money from teenagers stupid enough to buy this crap to afford you trips to tour Europe.
